There are normally a few boats for sale along the canal. If you are interested in buying (or selling) a boat along the canal the best place to look is on the notice board at Paper Mill Lock, which normally has details of 3 or 4 boats for sale. Sometimes boats themselves will have a 'for sale' notice on their windows.   If you are interested in keeping a boat on the canal, contact Hugh Turner (the Moorings Manager) on 07910 558465, during week days, or one of the lock keeper at Heybridge basin during the evening and weekends. Mooring fees are £0.58p per foot per week (incl VAT), eg a 25ft boat will be around £60 per month (65p per foot if not by standing order).
