This page shows the fit-out of the Saloon on our barge Elessina. Elessina was built by Piper Boats at Stoke on Trent to a sailaway plus level, completion of the fit-out was on our mooring at Port Medway on the River Medway in Kent. Elessina is 60 ft long x 12'-6" wide has a 12mm thick 5ft wide flat bottom with 8/10mm thick angled side chines.

The Saloon is is approx 14ft x 12ft, located between the master bathroom and galley.

Photos right show how the saloon area was used as the workshop for 18 months. Two workmate benches and wood / pipe rack take up some of the space.

Doors are B&Q warm cherry veneer 'kitchen' doors.

Corner carcase is a B&Q wall unit.

Unit tops are cut from a Ikea table top. Left photo shows how it is cut. Right shows the corner unit tops (the rest were used as shelves or scrapped). I have just noticed, the dog has not moved after taking away some of the pieces!!.
