This map gives a guide to where you can cruise, with a broad beam boat, in the UK. It is only a guide, sizes given often refer to upstream sections, downstream will often be suitable for larger boats. If you know of any errors, please let me know and I will update accordingly. If you wish to make a printed copy, best to right click over picture, and select 'save picture as'.... into one of your folders, then open file and print separately.
Note. Most of the data used in creating this map is either from the DBA barge buyers hand book, Georges canal web site and Jim Shead's Waterways Information web site or Nicholsons maps, which contradict each other in places. We personally have cruised very few of the canals..... which was the reason for gaining knowledge of where we can cruise in the future so we could determine what size boat suited us best (60ft x 12'-6"). If you wish to gain more information regarding a particular canal, I would recommend you visit Georges canal web site or Jim Sheads Waterways Information web site.
